The American city of Salisbury is the largest on the eastern shore of Maryland. Founded in 1732, the city lies in the centre of the Delmarva Peninsula and is often described as the “Crossroads of Delmarva”. Getting around Salisbury

If you want to explore the local area you really need to hire a car in Salisbury, especially if you want to reach the coast. You can also hop on a bus with one of the local transit companies, which provides an extensive network of 200 bus stops within Salisbury and in the local area. If you prefer to hire a taxi, there are plenty of local taxi cab companies located within the city centre. Salisbury is in an excellent location for visiting some of the nearest big cities on the East Coast. You can drive up the US 50 highway over to Washington, D.C. or Baltimore in about two hours or drive north up the US 13 highway to reach Philadelphia in two and a half hours.

Salisbury-Ocean City (SBY) (also known as Wicomico Regional Airport) is a small airport situated on the east side of the city at a distance of 5 miles (8 km).
