One of the things London does best is culture. Its 300+ galleries and museums are stuffed to the rafters with historic works of art, natural wonders from the four corners of the world and everyday items from yesteryear that have a special place in our hearts.

The most impressive thing about London’s culture shops is that many of them are free to duck into. Free entry is a boon to cash-strapped families and tourists.

There are opportunities to pick up some knowledge, free of charge, too. Free drawing sessions, arts-and-crafts classes, trails, tours and talks are offered at weekends, some evenings and during school holidays.

We’re sharing 25 of our favourite museums and galleries in London that won’t cost a penny to enjoy.
