Heading to Thailand for a shopping extravaganza? Then you’re in for a treat – the Amazing Thailand Grand Sale 2011 is just around the corner.
Running from 15 June to 15 August, the annual sale – which is organised by the Tourism Authority of Thailand and tourism agencies – offers discounts and deals at more than 15,000 shops, spas, domestic airports, golf courses and restaurants throughout the country.
Locally-made products such as wooden crafts and jewellery will also be available at great prices through the One Tambon One Product (OTOP) scheme. The Royal Thai Government provides support for marketing, distribution and sales of the items, which benefits Thai villages through job creation.
