An airport parking company has struck a new deal with Luton Airport that will give customers a Meet and Greet service close to the terminal building.

The new service from Stress Free Parking will give customers arriving at Luton Airport a valet-style service, which the company say will cut an hour off journey times.

With the Meet and Greet service, customers can drive up to the terminal building and then have their car parked by a chauffeur.

The Stress Free Parking service was set up by airport parking company Looking4Parking.com in 2010, in response to customer demand.

The company currently runs this service at a number of UK airports, including Heathrow, Birmingham, Gatwick and Manchester.

“We sell the full mix of airport parking products via Looking4Parking.com, including On-site, Off-site, Park and Ride and Meet and Greet parking,” said Martin Mansell, Managing Director of Looking4Parking.com.

“We were finding however, that there just wasn’t a quality Meet and Greet service on offer at many key UK airports despite customer demand being high.”

Luton is the fifth-largest airport in the UK, handling more than 11 million customers every year, and the airport recently announced plans to increase its capacity.

The airport unveiled ambitious plans to boost its capacity by as much as 57 per cent, taking the number of passengers it handles to 18 million per year.

“We took the decision to launch our own Meet and Greet brand to address this need and now run successful operations at six major airports,” added Mr Mansell.

“Because of the quality of our service we’ve been able to establish great relationships with the airports we’re based at. The new licence at Luton is a real boost to our services there and we’re delighted to be allowed to process our customers so close to the terminal building.”
