Rome Ciampino Airport (CIA): www.adr.it is 12km (7.5 miles) south of Rome.

To / from the airport: The closest rail station is Ciampino Citta, linked by a bus. There are loads of public buses (Terravision, Sitbus, ATTRAL). Take taxis from the official taxi stand; there’s a fixed rate of €30 per cab for four passengers.

Bologna G Marconi Airport (BLQ): www.bologna-airport.it is 6km (3.5 miles) northeast of Bologna.

To / from the airport: The Bologna central railway station has connections to all major destinations across Italy and Europe. Access to the railway station is by the Aerobus bus service, which departs from the airport every 15 minutes. Taxi services are available outside Arrivals at both terminals. The Aerobus departs every 15 minutes daily from outside Arrivals (Terminals A and B) and runs to Bologna central railway station and the city centre.

Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE): www.veniceairport.it is located 12km (7.5 miles) from Venice by land, 10km (6 miles) by water.

To/from the airport: The Alilaguna boats are a fast way into central Venice. The Mestre-Venice and Venice-Santa Lucia rail stations are accessible by bus. Buses travel to the Venice-Santa Lucia railway station via Piazzale Roma. Taxis leave from outside Arrivals.
