Those considering a trip to the beautiful Maldives this year will soon have one more island to choose from. Ayada Maldives is a brand new luxury resort located on the Muguhdhuvaa Island in Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll.

The island resort boasts 112 deluxe villas and suites across a 150,000 square metre palm-fringed paradise.

Ayada Maldives, which is due to open to visitors in October, will offer guests 24-hour butler service, concierge facilities and reception alongside a luxury shopping arcade along with seven restaurants – with a range of cuisines, local and international – and casual bars and cafes.

Visitors will be able to take their pick from eight styles of accommodation, ranging from traditional beach villas with their own private pools to suites balanced on stilts over the crystal-clear lagoon.

Sporty types will love the scuba diving centre and the host of water sports on offer, while those seeking a more relaxing break should check out the enormous health club, offering massages, facials and many other de-stressing treatments.

Harrassed mums and dads will be able to relax too; the island resort offers a children’s club and babysitting facility.
