iPhone users can come across all David Attenborough with a new series of audio walking tours courtesy of Lonely Planet.

The travel gurus have launched a first-of-its-kind partnership with production company AudioGO to take listeners on city tours and provide Lonely Planet reviews and commentary every step of the way.

The audio tours provide recommendations on where to sightsee, shop, stay and eat and also share historical facts from the BBC archive.

Currently, the iPhone apps are available for London’s South Bank, Covent Garden, Spitalfields, the West End and the City. Walking tours of Paris are next in the pipeline, with more cities being added soon.
