Some lads on tour head to the Canary Islands, but if you’re Prince Harry it’s more like the Caribbean.

Of course, for the dashing young prince, visiting the Caribbean is part of an official tour on which he is representing his grandmother for the first time.

Landing in the Bahamas yesterday the 27-year-old prince was greeted by a crowd of adoring fans and later delivered a speech from the Queen to the people of the Bahamas.

“I stand before you with a deep sense of pride at being asked to convey to you a message of good wishes from The Queen on the occasion of her Diamond Jubilee,” he said.

The Prince was wearing the tropical dress of The Blues and Royals for the first time in public.

This was just one of the stop offs on his week-long tour of the Caribbean. His first visit was to Belize last Friday, and he moves on to Jamaica next week.

Prince Harry will then travel to Brazil to help launch a government trade mission in Rio. During his trip to Belize the prince enjoyed the local delights, including rum punch and dancing in the street with dignitaries – so not too far off the typical lads-on-tour holiday…
