Each Friday, we’re listing 5 ‘tweeps’ we think will satisfy your hankering for travel inspiration and wisdom. In this our eighth installment, we’re sharing the feeds that will help you make the most out your next trip to Las Vegas.
Remember, New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and Miami have recently received the Cheapflights #FollowFriday treatment – be sure to check them out if you haven’t already.
@VEGAScom – At first sight this might look like the typical unimaginative news and reviews feed. But look close enough and you’ll see its USP – locals experts willing to answer your questions about Vegas hotels, shows, nightclubs, bars and restaurants. If you don’t have a specific question of your own, you can discover useful tips from the Q&As posted by others.
@GuyNSinCity – In tribute to his late wife, Marcus Mitchell pays forward all the comps he earns from playing in Vegas’ casinos. Drop him a message to be in with a chance of receiving the many gift certificates and discounts he gives away to his followers.
@vegastweets – Sometimes it feels like you need to follow a thousand Twitter feeds to get a good handle on a scene. When it comes to the latest events in Las Vegas, Vegas Tweets has the remedy. In what they call an ‘activitystream’ (whatever that is), they pool countless discounts, reviews and recommendations into one helpful feed – happy trawling!
@vegascourtesan – Vegas may be nicknamed Sin City, but most of its visitors never really dispense with polite society’s moral compass. Capture a glimpse of the seedier sides of the city from a safe distance with the musings of Las Vegas Courtesan, a real life escort and award-winning blogger.
@VegasDegenerate – They say if you want to know something about a city, seek out one of its taxi drivers first. Aptly, Las Vegas’ preeminent taxi-tweeter actually drives a limo. His knowledgeable advice, replete with an insane twist, is often peppered with amusing mockery of his inebriated clients.
