It’s time to put on your best exercise gear, find those old trainers, and get ready to do something sporty for charity.
Yes, Sport Relief is drawing near once again, with celebs and members of the public alike doing their bit to raise money for a good cause.
And one celebrity going further than most is comedian John Bishop. The Liverpool funnyman has just set off on a gruelling triathlon taking in cycling, rowing and running.
The first stage is 180-mile bike ride through France, from Paris to Calais. Bishop hopes to complete this leg in just one day.
We would never suggest trying this for yourself, but where are the top destinations for a cycling holiday in Europe?
French Alps
The Tour De France has made the French Alps about more than just winter sports. The stunning scenery and picturesque villages make this the ideal cycling destination. But be warned, some areas can really test your strength and fitness.
Picos de Europa, Spain
For a rough and ready cycling holiday, head over to the Picos de Europa in Northern Spain. Try to go in the summer if you can, as weather from the Atlantic can make things pretty chilly.
Bavaria, Germany
A slightly gentler cycling holiday than the likes of the Alps, but no less beautiful. A ride through the German province of Bavaria takes in green landscapes, blue lakes and plenty of charming German villages.
Sicily
Another fairly gentle cycling destination, Sicily has everything you need to for a relaxed break. Temperatures can get pretty scorching in the height of summer, so if you’re planning on a lot of cycling then perhaps go either side of summer.
