Travel photographers heading for beautiful New Orleans are in for a treat with the launch of a new app.
The Historic New Orleans Collection – a museum and research centre celebrating the history and culture of the city – is offering a free app for iPhones and iPads.
The app allows keen snappers to take photos of New Orleans’ landmarks and compare them to photos taken in the same place 100 years ago.
The app, called Historic New Orleans, contains almost 400 historic photos of buildings, street scenes and transport in the famous French Quarter and the central business district. It can be downloaded now from the iTunes App Store.
