After landing in the UK on May 19, the Olympic Torch has seen more of this country than most of us will in a lifetime.
Travelling 8,000 miles and falling under the stewardship of 8,000 torch bearers, the torch is today making its final journey to the Olympic Stadium.
The flame will begin the day in the picturesque grounds of Hampton Court Palace, before weaving its way through the famous maze.
It is now making its way down the Thames to London Bridge, before entering the Olympic Stadium to kick-start the greatest show on Earth.
It has been an epic journey across the UK for the flame, with thousands upon thousands of people turning out to catch a glimpse of it. But what have been the most memorable moments of this exhausting relay?
David Beckham starts Olympic relay
Everybody’s favourite footballer may have been unable to secure a place in the Team GB footy squad, but David Beckham has been fully involved in the Olympics nonetheless (he suggested his top ten things to do in the UK too!).
So, who better to start the relay in Cornwall? Looking dapper, Beckham used the Flame – which had just arrived from Athens – to light the cauldron.
Olympic Flame takes a zip wire
The flame has enjoyed all manner of thrilling activities on its journey around the UK, but one of the best has to be taking a zip wire across the River Tyne.
Chief Scout Bear Grylls was the person carrying the flame on this unique occasion, and he wowed a crowd of thousands by shooting down the zip wire from the top of the bridge to land safely next to HMS Calliope.
Olympic Flame gets EastEnders role
With Walford (the fictional setting for Eastenders) just a stone’s throw away from the Olympic site, the flame simply had to pay a visit to Albert Square – it would have been rude not to.
Carried by fan-favourite Billy Mitchell, played by Perry Fenwick, the flame’s journey through E20 was broadcast live to an audience of millions.
Olympic Flame gets Royal reception
The flame has been making its way all around London this week, but one of the best moments has to be the Royal greeting it got at Buckingham Palace.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, along with Prince Harry, met torch bearers at the Palace on a day when thousands turned out to watch the flame.
