Facebook has revealed the top 25 “checked-in” places for 2013. These are the places that generated the most posts, smoasts and check-ins over the past year.

Despite the name, transport hubs such as airports are not included in the list. These are the perennials of family holidays, sports and cultural events and the sites that have dominated the news agenda over the past year.

It’s a fascinating snapshot of where we were and what we did in 2013 by Facebook’s 1.19 billion users. Like.
