The art scene in Warsaw is multi-faceted and has something for everyone – both avant-garde and more traditional exhibitions take place in hidden makeshift galleries as well as the most esteemed national establishments.

It seems that anything goes, and this is especially true for the streets where grey socialist realist buildings have been appropriated by huge bold murals and graffiti representing new ideas in the ever-evolving city.

Here’s a small selection of Warsaw street art – some of it difficult to find, some proudly seen by thousands every day. The featured image, above, is found at Rondo ONZ, Mirow. All pictures are by Adam Zulawski.
