When it comes to a holiday, we Brits love a cruise. The easy, all-inclusive nature of a cruise makes it the ideal way to unwind. (Featured image by Sam Beddoes)

Yet while the entertainment, food and facilities are all important, it’s the company that can make or break a good cruise – and Brits know exactly who they want sharing their trip.

So who was top of the cruise companion list for British women? Prince Harry, of course!

The fun-loving prince beat off some pretty tough competition to take the top spot in a poll produced by Bonvoyage.co.uk.

We know Harry loves a party, as some less-than-flattering photos demonstrated last year, so who better to bring along on a cruise?

A Caribbean cruise with a dash of French food and Prince Harry for company – and the occasional game of strip billiards, we’re sure – was revealed as the ideal cruise trip for women.

Given the calibre of other potential cruise buddies in the top five, Harry will have every right to feel rather pleased with himself.

David Beckham, George Clooney, Daniel Craig and Johnny Depp all made it into the top five, but couldn’t quite edge out everybody’s favourite (single) prince.

It wasn’t just the women who got to pick their ideal cruise partner though. Blokes also had their say, choosing TV presenter Holly Willoughby as their ideal companion.

The remainder of the men’s top five reads like a page from Nuts magazine with Beyonce, Kelly Brook, Jennifer Aniston and Prince Harry’s sister-in-law Pippa Middleton all making the cut.

“A cruise makes such a great holiday because it offers a huge variety of choices, from the destinations and length of the cruise to the food, activities and entertainment on-board,” said Steph Curtin, Cruise Development Manager of Bonvoyage.co.uk.

“Unfortunately, we can’t guarantee that Prince Harry will be on your cruise but celebrities have been known to cruise so you never know who you are going to bump into on-board.”
