Families looking for an original way to keep their little ones occupied during the festive season will love the guaranteed fun and merriment on offer at Legoland Florida’s annual “Christmas Bricktacular”.

The event sees the theme park filled with festive decorations, including a nine-metre-high Lego Christmas tree made up of 270,000 bricks.

Youngsters will have the chance to meet Lego Santa himself as he makes his daily appearances around the park.

The Christmas festivities will run every Saturday and Sunday in December, bewteen 10am and 5pm, and visitors can also enjoy a choice of more than 50 rides, shows and attractions available at Legoland Florida.

Families can also ring in the New Year at the park, which will host a Kids’ New Year’s Eve with spectacular LEGO fireworks at midnight KST (Kid Standard Time) – otherwise known as 6pm.

Tickets are available via Attraction Tickets Direct with Combo tickets available for both the theme park and Legoland Water Park – a one-day pass is priced at £200 for a family of two adults and two children.

Attraction Tickets Direct also offers combo tickets with either the SeaWorld Parks or Disney. Providing 14 consecutive days’ admission, the Legoland Florida and SeaWorld Parks Combo Ticker is priced at £99 for an adult and £94 for a child, while the Disney and Legoland Florida Combo Ticket is priced at £257 for an adult and £233 for a child.

Recent figures from Visit Florida, the state’s official tourism marketing corporation, revealed that an estimated 18.9 million domestic visitors came to Florida during the third quarter of 2012, representing a 3.2 per cent increase on the same period in 2011.

Florida also experienced a 5.5 per cent increase in overseas visitors in the third quarter of 2012, compared to the third quarter of 2011.
