Competition Terms and Conditions
1. General
1.1. No purchase necessary. Entry to the competition is conditional on acceptance of these terms and conditions. By entering you are deemed to have read and accepted these terms.
1.2. The promoter of this competition is Momondo Group, Control Tower, One Alfred Place, London, WC1E 7EB, United Kingdom.
1.3. These terms and conditions are available in English only and shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the entrant’s country of residence.
2. Conditions of entry
2.1. In order to participate, entrants must “Like” the required post on Facebook and “Tag” their Facebook friend in the post comments explaining why they would like to visit them. The winner will be the entrant whose explanation is deemed the most creative.
2.2. After the competition closing date, Momondo Group selects one winner from all eligible entries. The final winner will be selected by a panel of judges.
2.3. The Content (including photographs) submitted for entry may be used for online promotion by Momondo Group.
2.4. The start date for entries is November 25, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. GMT.
2.5. The closing date for entries is December 24, 2015 at 10 a.m. GMT. Entries received after this date and time will not be accepted.
2.6. This promotion is open to entrants residing in the UK, Canada, South Africa, New Zealand and Australia aged 18 years and over. Employees of the promoter and members of their immediate families (including any live-in partner), its agencies, or anyone professionally associated with the promotion are excluded from entering the promotion. The promoter reserves the right to verify the eligibility of entrants.
3. The Prize:
3.1. The main competition prize is one return flight to the winner’s chosen destination (up to a combined value of £1,000) for the winning entrant, departing from the airport the winner deems is most convenient to their place of residence.
3.2. The prize winner must provide the promoter with their preferred airport of departure no more than two weeks after accepting the prize. The preferred trip itinerary must be based on fares and search criteria available on the prize winner’s local Cheapflights website, and not exceed the total prize fund allocated.
3.3. The competition prize winner is responsible for paying all additional costs associated with the prize that are not specifically included (as stated in these Terms & Conditions), including, where applicable, accommodation fees, transport to and from the respective airports, meal costs, spending money, insurance and all other incidentals.
3.4.The promoter holds no responsibility or liability for the winner. Insurance is not included in the prize. The promoter strongly advises the winner to take out comprehensive travel insurance for their trip. The promoter will not be held responsible for any flight cancellations and, therefore, advises the winner to ensure cancellation is included in their travel insurance.
3.5. The promoter reserves the right to amend the specification of the prize, or offer an alternative prize of equal or greater value, at any time before the competition closes.
3.6. The competition winner is solely responsible for obtaining all necessary travel documents, including valid passports and visas.
3.7. There is no cash alternative to the prize.
4. The Prize draw:
4.1. The final draw will take place on Thursday, December 24, 2015 at 3 p.m. GMT. The winner will be notified via Facebook within one day of the draw. The prize winner is required to accept his/her prize by email within ten days of notification. In the event of non-acceptance, a supplementary winner may be drawn at the promoter’s discretion.
4.2. The prize winner may be required to participate in publicity accompanying or resulting from this promotion. The winner’s name and photo will be made available upon request and winners may be displayed on the Cheapflights Social Media feeds and websites.
4.3. The promoter shall be entitled to terminate or modify the promotion or to modify these rules at any time prior to the closing date by publishing any such modification or termination on any website operated by the promoter.
4.4. In the event of a dispute, the decision of the promoter shall be final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into.
4.5. The prize winner will be awarded on a fair and random basis, and the prizes have been made available for distribution.
4.6. This competition is promoted across other websites.
4.7. The promoter is not responsible for contacting or forwarding prizes to entrants who provide unclear or incomplete information or for entries lost, misdirected, delayed or destroyed.
5. Other
5.1. The right is reserved to terminate or withdraw this contest at any time.
5.2. The promoter assumes no responsibility for lost, stolen, delayed, damaged or misdirected entries or for any failure of the website during the competition period, for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment software, failure of any email or entry to be received by the promoter on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or any website, or any combination thereof including any injury or damage to an entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participating and entering in the promotion. Any attempt to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of this promotion is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and should such an attempt be made, the promoter reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution. Entries are subject to verification and will be declared invalid if they are illegible, mechanically MV reproduced, mutilated, forged, falsified, plagiarized, altered or tampered with in any way.
5.3. For the name of the prize winner, please send a stamped addressed envelope marked Travel Miles Competition, Momondo Group, Control Tower, One Alfred Place, London, WC1E 7EB. No entries should be sent to this address.
5.4. Events may occur that render the competition itself or the awarding of the prizes impossible due to reasons beyond the control of the promoter and accordingly the promoter may at its absolute discretion vary or amend the promotion and the entrant agrees that no liability shall attach to the Promoter as a result thereof.
5.5. The promoter has organised this competition in good faith and does not accept liability relating to the prize.
