In news that’s sure to bring excitement to millions of European travellers, Eurostar has just announced that it will begin offering regular trains from London to Amsterdam, commencing December 2016.

Visitors in Europe will have a new and compelling travel opportunity with the deal, as the service will offer competitive ticket prices, speedy journeys, and minimal hassle. The new line, which terminates at Amsterdam, is also slated to pass through Belgium. In Belgium, all trains will stop at Brussels and Antwerp. In the Netherlands, the service will call at Rotterdam, Schiphol Airport, and finally Amsterdam Central Service. The entire journey will take just four hours.

At the inauguration of the new service only two trains per day will run between the cities, so expect high prices and limited availability during the lead-up to the 2016 Christmas season. The high-speed passenger service aims to broaden travellers’ options between London and Amsterdam, which is currently Europe’s busiest route. As a bonus, all trains promise to be sleek and comfortable, as the company will debut new e320 trains that can seamlessly transition to the Dutch high-speed lines.
